~ Synopsis ~
We'd been married seven years, and for the most part, I thought we were happy. Little did I know my other half wasn't. He'd been screwing around on me for the past six months. Now, on the verge of divorce, I've found myself in a conundrum.
He's half my age, with a body that won't quit. I keep telling myself it's payback, but who am I kidding? Instead of getting even, I've now made things irreparable. I have a choice to make, and it's going to be a lot harder than I imagined.

~ Excerpt ~
My wife didn’t want to see me, and who could blame her? I’d fucked up. I’d let a little ass ruin my marriage, and that’s exactly what it was coming to. Rachel was a strong-willed woman. She was set in her ways and liked being in control of the situation. I admired her strength, and the way she was able to manage multiple problems at once. This though, this broke her. I saw it in her desperate eyes. She was broken – lost – destroyed, all because I couldn’t keep my dick in my pants. I saw an opportunity to feel young again and I dove right in, knowing the consequences would bite me in the ass at some point. I made the decision out of greed. I wanted to feel empowered; like I was able to get someone young and attractive. For a little while I felt like the king of the world. I thought I’d get away with it. The more it happened, the harder it was to imagine getting caught.

~ Review ~
This book does involve infidelity and the breaking down of a marriage....so consider yourself warned.  Although for me this is generally a sticky subject there was more to this book than the cheating.  It was more about the ripple affect that the cheating caused.

When you are having a really bad day and come home to find your world is not just turned upside down but has been set ablaze by the one you thought would never hurt you things can get pretty heated quickly.

Betrayal, loneliness, and revenge are the first three things that Rachel experiences although to her it's not revenge.  Finding comfort in the most unlikely arms, Rachel uses Chad to numb herself to the reality of her situation.

I actually felt more for Grayson than Rachel. I am in no way condoning Grayson's indiscretions however, Grayson admitted his mistakes and tried repeatedly to open the lines of communication with Rachel but she continually shut him down.

After reading this I felt as though they were both to blame. Sometimes we get complacent with the way things are and tend to let things go. However, for me the problem lies with the fact that neither one of them noticed until it was too late and though they proclaimed to love and need each other that love was nowhere to be found while they were involved with other people.

While this is the seconds book in the Seven Itch Series, it can be read as a standalone.  This book is definitely filled with angst, hurt, and even love although for me I am not sure that the ending to this story rings true for me.
