Release Blitz
Devney Perry
~ Synopsis ~
Thea Landry has always known her place in modern-day society. It’s somewhere just above the trash can her mother dumped her in as a newborn but below the class where much comes easy. With her tattered shoes and bargain-bin clothes, her life has never been full of glamour. So when a rich and charismatic man takes interest, she doesn’t fool herself into thinking their encounter is anything more than a one-night stand. Months later, she’s kicking herself for not getting his phone number. Or his last name. She’s given up hope of seeing him ever again. Until one day, years later, Logan Kendrick waltzes into her life once more and turns everything she’s built upside down. This time around, she won’t make the same mistake. She’s going to fight to keep him in her life—not for herself. But for their daughter.

       ~ Excerpt ~
“Yes!” My arms shot in the air. I punched the air a couple of times before clapping and shouting, “Way to go, Charlie! Nice save!” I was so damn proud. I hoped she could hear me yelling. Her success felt better than any I’d ever had personally, and I’d known her for just a couple days. Parental pride was incredible. And I wasn’t alone in my feelings. When I stopped cheering for my daughter, I looked to my side to see that Thea had gotten off the blanket and was cheering too. Her smile was beaming, brighter than any I’d seen before. “Couldn’t stay seated?” I nudged her elbow with mine. “Quiet, gorgeous.” Gorgeous. I’d been given nicknames in the past by women. My girlfriend in high school had called me Lo-Lo. Emmeline used to call me darling. Alice had annoyed the fuck out of me by whispering stud in my ear. I hadn’t really liked any of them, not even Emmeline’s. But Thea’s gorgeous was hot as hell. Mostly because she said it with that smile. She could call me an asshole or a douchebag with that smile and I wouldn’t care.

On the Edge
(Edge Series #2)
CD Reiss
~ Synopsis ~
“In Iraq, I promised you a bed of rose petals.” He grabbed my hand under the table, tightening his grip as if he were falling from a precipice and our connection was the only thing saving him from certain death. “They were beautiful.” “You smell like apples. Roses were wrong.” There was nothing soft about his tone, but his quiet words were for me alone. “I want everything to be right for you.” “Caden, look at me.” I caught his gaze and held it. He was confident. Arrogant. Sure he had a place in the world. And under that was the man who needed me to be that place. “If I could…” He smiled and shook his head at a silly thought he wanted to dismiss but couldn’t—a contradiction in keeping with the whole man I married. “If I could write my love in the sky, it wouldn’t be big enough. I’d run out of room. I’d fall out of the air trying to say it all.” He was saying it all. Every day. And he was falling out of the sky to do it.

~ About the Author ~
CD Reiss is a New York Times bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn't pick up she's at the well hauling buckets. Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master's degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels. She's frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn't ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood. If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.

“Must be slim, able to stand for long periods of time, and be impervious to the cold.”
The headline caught my attention.

“Hours are negotiable, pay is minimal, clothing absolutely forbidden.”
The second line piqued my curiosity.

“Able to hold your bladder and tongue, refrain from opinions or suggestions, and be the perfect living canvas.”
The third made me scowl.

“Other attributes required: non-ticklish, contortionist, and obedient. Must also enjoy being studied while naked in a crowd.”
The fourth made me shudder.

“Call or email ‘YOUR SKIN, HIS CANVAS’ if interested in applying.”
The final made my heart race.

I should’ve kept scrolling past the advertisement.
I should’ve applied for the boring receptionist job at minimum wage.
I should’ve clicked on any other job where I got to keep my clothes on.
But I didn’t.

 Blog Tour Review
The Lies I’ve Told
 J.L. Berg

Release Date: June 4, 2018
Genre: Contemporary Romance
~ Synopsis ~
Everything was going according to plan...
After years of working my way up the corporate ladder, it was finally my time to shine. I was about to receive the promotion of a lifetime.
But just like that, my life was destroyed with a single career crushing email.
Now, I am headed back home to North Carolina, under the ruse of an extended vacation to help run the family inn while my sister is on maternity leave. After all, what is family for? Plus, a few days at the beach could definitely help uncomplicate this crazy life of mine.

Enter Aiden Fisher.
Aiden is a guest at my sister’s inn. He’s wicked hot, a huge flirt and has one of the sexiest British accents I’ve ever heard. But beyond all that, I see a darkness in his soul, as if he’s carrying a great weight upon his shoulders.
I find myself pushing back my trip home to Florida in hopes that maybe I’ll look into those hazel brown eyes and finally see truth shining back instead of lies. That maybe he’ll stop running and tell me the truth for once.
But you know what they say about liars? It takes one to know one and I’ve been telling the biggest lie of all – I’ve fallen hopelessly in love with Aiden.
And isn’t that the scariest truth of all?

~ Excerpt ~
My eyes bolted open as sunlight from the windows glared down at me.
Where am I?
I sat up, quietly stretching as if I had all the time in the world.
Because I did, right?
No job. No responsibilities.
Breakfast for the guests!
I bolted out of bed, frantically searching for my clothes. Where were my clothes? I tried to think back to the night before, but it was blurry.
And then the hammering in my head began.
Shit, how much did I drink last night?
“Where are you running off to so early?”
The deep British accent had me stopping in my tracks.
Last night…
I turned on my heels, tugging on the short shirt I had on, wishing it were suddenly a dress. Or a robe.
Or anything longer than a shirt.
Aiden’s eyes perused my body with a wide grin on his face as he casually tucked his hands behind his head. I tried not to notice the way the muscles in his arms flexed.
Or the fact that, besides a carefully placed sheet, he was basically lying naked before me.
“Oh my God,” I whispered. My fingers raked through my hair as I tried to remember the night before. “We didn’t…did we?”
The question had him immediately sitting up in bed, causing that well-placed sheet to shift.
I gulped as all of him—and I did mean all of him—came into view.
Oh Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.
I turned around, my cheeks flushing as heat spread through my body. He wasn’t just naked. He was naked and very much awake.
“You don’t remember?” he asked as I listened to the bed groan as he stood.
“No,” I admitted. “Do you?”
I heard the telltale sign of jeans being zipped, giving me the courage to turn back around. Sure enough, he was decent.
Well, as decent as a shirtless, hot-as-fuck Brit could be. God, I thought his muscles had muscles.
“Um, no,” he answered, but there was a hint of sadness to his eyes as he reached down to grab his shirt off the floor.
I let out a tiny whimper of protest as the black T-shirt slid down his body.
He really was beautiful.
I shook my head, trying to keep focused. “Oh, that’s great. Just fucking great. So, what happened here exactly?”
He pointed to the pile of clothes and the mostly empty alcohol bottle on the nightstand, that sadness drying up as he let out a breath and straightened, his features hardening. “I think that’s pretty clear.”
My arms folded across my chest before I realized that only brought my shirt higher up my waist. Aiden didn’t miss the extra peek of flesh either as I watched his grin widen.
“Nope, I don’t believe you. I don’t do one-night stands. Ever.”
“Ever?” he echoed, surprise written all over his stupid face.
“Yes. Ever. Why is that so hard to believe? Do I look like the one-night-stand kind of girl?”
“Well, right now. Sort of.”

~ Review ~
This book is my favorite in the series.  I guess I am a sucker for a British accent but Aiden completely stole my heart.  He has come so far from a past he would prefer to forget.  Just when everything has started falling into place for him, life pulls the rug out from under him.
Headed to Ocracoke to put some distance from his problems and to help the small town again Aiden feels as if life is just playing another cruel joke on him. Giving him glimpses of what he could have it things were different.
Millie has returned to her home town to hide out from her career imploding under the guise of helping her pregnant sister run the family B&B.  What she doesn’t expect is to find a guest who sets her world ablaze.
I loved the chemistry between Aiden and Millie.  Their back and forth flirting and jabs about the way each other speaks.  They are just what the other needs to start to move past their recent life hurdles, but Aiden’s is so much harder to overcome.
Denial seems to work best for him, enjoying all of the moments he can with Millie and her family without letting on that his time there is limited.  Until fate steps in and makes his truth known.  My heart absolutely broke for Aiden.
Life dealing him nothing but bad cards since his youth, save his brothers.
Time apart for Millie and Aiden was hard but with determination and love being their underlying foundation I was pulling for them to find a way to make things work.

I honestly loved this story.  So many factors that play into making this story memorable.  The broken characters that together put the pieces of their lives together, the supporting characters that add some humor to the situation and the unconditional love that shines through.  If you haven’t read this series, I would suggest starting from the beginning so that you get the full understanding of this small town and all of its residents.

I do love watching the seasons change though. My husband and I have been here for over a decade, and I still get giddy like a school girl every time it snows. It’s magical!
