Just thinking of Jethro sent a spasm of
desire through my core.
Dammit, what’s happening to me?
A daydream of Jethro slamming to his
knees before me and wrenching my legs wide stole my mind. It was so vivid, so
real—a trickle of need ran down my inner thigh. I gasped as I imagined his
tongue lapping at my clit, his long fingers disappearing inside me—the same
finger that I’d tattooed with my name.
Would I come harder knowing he touched

~ Review ~
Ever waited for the next installment in a series to come out only to be afraid to start it because you knew that once you started it would be over? That was me. Second Debt sat on my kindle for a few days taunting me to catch up with Jethro and Nila but I knew that I would get caught up in all things Hawks and Weavers and be left waiting......Well, I was correct and here's me waiting for Pepper to give me more!
Love this series and the brilliant writing that is Pepper Winters. She has the ability to captivate me as a reader and pull me so deep into the story that nothing else matters. This is only Book 3 in the series and as Pepper may give us an answer or some insight into a lingering question from earlier books there are more questions formed and you are left to speculate and draw your own conclusions while you ponder and wait what she has in store next for these two.
Tortured souls is what comes to mind......Nila is fighting against herself to honor the memories of Weavers past while falling for Jethro in spite of herself. Traitorous body..... sigh. Jethro is obviously hiding some deep dark secrets and is also dealing with his inner conflict. How can he resist the one person that makes him "feel" and carry out his obligations as a Hawk? Will Nila be more than he can handle and put his inheritance in jeopardy? I must say watching Jethro lose control at times and that is what makes me fall for him that much more.
We of course get to catch up with Kestrel and the man I love to hate Cut. There is a bit more mentioned of the infamous Bonnie Hawk and we get to spend some time with Jasmine. It would appear that she holds the key to many of Jethro's secrets and may be a few of her own.
Now keep in mind that this is only Book 3 of a 6 Book series.....yes there is a cliff hanger....oh and it's a good one. You might even want to harm your e-reader....but don't because before you know it it will be time to pay the Third Debt and you wouldn't want to miss what Pepper has in store for us readers.
If you are new to this series, I suggest you go #1-click now....I loved the Monsters in the Dark Series but Jethro has definitely stole my heart from "Q". Happy reading!
