Crush……that is exactly what this book did to me but
luckily Kim Karr picked up all the pieces and mended by broken heart. This is book 2 in the Tainted Love Duet and
what a series this turned out to be.
There were just sooo many emotions to be felt in
this book. Crush picks up right at the
end of Blow. This book will have you
smiling, gasping, crying and cringing in anticipation of what is to come.
Logan…… tortured between his past and his present. Determined to protect Elle and his family at
all costs. I loved his devotion to
Elle. Watching him transform from a man
who didn’t do relationships into a man who not only desired her but was
compelled to be near her made him even sexier.
Oh and that smirk……..the visual aspects of Kim Karr’s writing make you
feel like you are on the receiving end of Logan’s stare, smirk, and touch.
Elle broke my heart.
Always expecting the worst from Logan’s actions and jumping to worst
case scenario. Sure her track record
with love and relationships was tainted by memories of her parents but that she
was too willing to think he too would just vanish without a word. Her adoration for her niece Clementine often
clouded her judgment. Elle was willing
to compromise herself just to secure a place in her life.
Who are the behind the scenes players dictating
their fate? Is Michael yet another pawn
in this twisted game of drugs, money and murder? Who will be left standing and will Elle and
Logan find a way to beat the odds? In
this book we get closure and answers to most of the looming questions in this
duet. There were some left out there for
you as the reader to decide. There were
some twists in the storyline that I didn’t see coming and there were some that
were expected.

I
live in Florida with my husband and four kids. I've always had a love for
reading books and writing. Being an English major in college, I wanted to teach
at the college level but that was not to be. I went on to receive an MBA and
became a project manager until quitting to raise my family. I currently work
part-time with my husband and full-time embracing one of my biggest
passions—writing.
I wear a lot of hats! Writer, book-lover, wife, soccer-mom, taxi driver, and the all around go-to person of the family. However, I always find time to read. One of my favorite family outings use to be taking my kids to the bookstore or the library. Today, my oldest child is in college and my twins are juniors so they no longer go with me on these outings. And although I don't need to go to the actual store anymore because I have the greatest device ever invented—a Kindle, I still do. There's nothing like a paperback. So now my four year old and I make dates out of going to the bookstore--it's time I love and cherish.
I like to believe in soulmates, kindred spirits, true friends, and Happily-Ever-Afters. I love to drink champagne, listen to music, and hopes to always stay young at heart.
