This book is yet another reason I reach for an A.L. Jackson book without any hesitation. I LOVE books that grab me and rock me to the core. Lyrik and Tamar were such captivating characters that it is hard to say who I felt more for.
Lyrik stole my breath and held it captive till the very end. It is no secret that I love a broken alpha on the road to redemption but his journey was just so much more devestating that I could have even imagined that it made my heart hurt. All the fame in the world could not heal the hurt he had experienced and the guilt he carried.
Tamar took me by surprise too. Her bad ass attitude that we had come to know from the first two books in the Bleeding Hearts series being a front to guard her battered heart. Her scars running so much deeper than anyone from the outside could ever see.......Until Lyrik.
This book was such an emotional roller coaster. The FEELS......I could feel the pressure building in my chest as I was reading. There was not stopping the emotion that poured from the pages as there was no stopping the tears that flowed from my eyes when I couldn't help but break right along with Lyrik and Tamar.
Their love for one another was unparalelled. Both trying so hard to deny what they wanted although it proved to be just what they needed. If you are looking for your next read...look no further. This story will stay with you long after you read. I cannot wait to see what A.L. Jackson brings us next in this series.
