~ Review ~

There is no doubt that Pepper Winters is one of my favorite authors. Her writing for me is unparalleled. I eagerly anticipate the release of her novels as they each tend to be more compelling than the last. Pepper also never ceases to amaze me. Her writing captivates you and her characters draw your empathy and love right through the pages. Her descriptive writing puts you right there in the middle of the scene.

Elder and Pim may be rushing up the leader board to my favorite couple. Their story is unlike any other on many levels and but similar in a few instances. It is those similarities which made me gasp out loud while reading and left me teetering on the edge. Mixed emotions would be putting it mildly once I got to the end of Thousands (you will most likely feel the same) but I have an odd sense of calm while I sit here waiting to reach the finish line in Millions.

We get more of the push and pull from Pim and Elder. A battle of wills to maintain control and seek what they want. I truly love Elder. His restraint and self control are at their breaking point whether he is with Pim or not. The balance he seeks being pushed by Pim at every opportunity as she is coming into her own skin and growing in confidence. Determined not to let Elder keep his distance puts them both in an explosive situation. But who will come out victorious?

We find that both Pim and Elder must endure the consequences of their actions and that may be a tough road to travel. Forgiveness though given seemed to be harder to accept. Elder and Pim almost feel real and their pain and sexual tension radiates from the pages. Their story will definitely keep you tied to your eReader into the late hours.

I could go on and on about how amazing this series is but you MUST start from the beginning. You will have the benefit of being able to read 4 of the 5 books in the series without delay but part of Peppers writing that I have come to love is the suspense and anticipation of what is to come.
