A sexy stranger, a random encounter and a new job….life is looking pretty good for Raven Bennett. Well that is until her sexy stranger shows up at her new job and he’s the boss.
Charles Cavendish is the owner of Cavendish Group and soon to be the owner of Raven’s heart.
While they both feel the spark between them they both recognize that a workplace romance is probably not the best idea. But the new high profile account puts Raven and Charles on a collision course.
Charles is not only navigating this new account but his feelings both past and present. No relationships. He’s been wronged in recent years and it has left him untrusting now.
Raven receives a verbal lashing from Charles on more than one occasion throughout the story. Although hurt and usually uncalled for, she always seems to accept his apology.
They continually draw a line in the sand but its is easily blurred. A touch here, a glance there. It feels so right and then so wrong. Can Charles get out of his own way and not only get the new account but the girl too?
This book has several twists and turns that will have you caught up in Raven and Charles’ relationship as well as some corporate espionage which will test outside relationships too.
The supporting characters definitely added some fun and drama to the storyline. I am interested to see if Charles’ mate, Paxton will be getting his own book. I felt like there is definitely a story there waiting to be told. Lily and Asher look like they may have more too share as well.
