Review

A new series from M. Robinson and boy are we off to a great start.  I absolutely loved Hayes and Haven. 

This age gap story was so much more than that.  Hayes is a bit hardened from his childhood and relationship with his parents.  Determined not to follow in his father’s footsteps he keeps everyone at arms reach. 

Introduce Haven… the one person that makes him want to wrap his arms around her and never let go. 

The only thing he wants to do is protect her.  Not only from others but himself. 

Determined to honor a pact with her mom, Haven manipulates circumstances to get a job in the last place Hayes would ever want……his bar. 

Circumstances both push and pull Hayes and Haven throughout this story.  

An underlying connection weaved so beautifully in a the background that slowly begins to surface as the story progresses. 

Hayes was the perfect “bad boy” damaged, tortured, protective, domineering and yet worthy of love and affection.  

Haven being several years younger was a bit naive and it showed at times.  She sometimes had that “daddy’s girl” spolied behavior too.  

But together these two were perfect.

His experience to her naïveté 

His need to protect and her need to know 

M. Robinson delivered a book balanced between love and heartbreak.  We get angst, banter, sexy times, heartbreak, forgiveness and love.
