Review

Having seen that this book was prefaced to be along the lines of Pepper’s Ribbon duet I was 1000% on board.

I loved this story. It was captivating with an underlying seed of mystery. Some of which is divulged but I feel that book two will expand on more.

The writing flowed like the ocean they explored. Some parts of the story were rough and some calm. Aslan and Nerida literally grew up with each other. Neri was taken with Aslan from the start but her yearning for him as she matured lent conflict to the story. Sometimes she pushed just a little too hard to get her way or prove a point. Sometimes it worked out in her favor and other times not.

Aslan lived on pins and needles. Abiding by his word that he gave to the Taylors for aslyum. He fought against himself and Neri’s desires. But one can only fight for so long. Realization of their tangled web sends the story into more turmoil.

Can these two brought together by sea and moon navigate their way to happiness? We are most definitely going to have to wait for Conamare to find out. Keep in mind this is a duet and Pepper leaves you holding your breath.
