I got up, tagged last night’s jeans from the floor, and hastily pulled them on.

I found the remaining pieces of her scattered clothing and threw them at her.

“Get dressed and get out.” Succinct and decisive.

I didn’t make the slightest attempt to soften my words.

Her lips thinned. “Turn around while I put them on.”

“Babe, I’ve already seen everything you got. And believe me when I say I’m not interested in having a do over.”

“F**k you,” she huffed.

I resisted the urge to remind her that she already had.

~ Review ~

This was my first read by Michelle Mankin but it will not be the last. Entincing Interlude is part of the Tempest Series but can be read as a standalone. I will be sure to pick up book one after reading this.

The story centers around Justin Jones, an striving musician and Bridget Dubois, a young single mom. They both have had less than the fairy tale childhood and they wear they scars. But together they complete it each other and find “family”.

Bridget is coming off a loss when she arrives in Vancouver with her son Carter, the 5 yr old cutie who could pretty much steal your heart. Lace is pretty much the only person she can turn to until Justin.

Cue the hot, sexy up and coming musician Justin. One look at Bridget and he has determined she is the next conquest. Until she is more and when Justin realizes it, it's full steam ahead even if she takes off running he will not let her go.

So, with any good story there has to be drama and we get our fair share. But we also get friendship, understanding, family and love.

Now don’t get me wrong, Bridget’s insecurities and her past have a lot to do with who she is and why she reacts to certain situations but I did get annoyed when she didn’t even question some things that were going on.

The story had a few twists and turns I didn’t see coming and was happy to watch the characters grow through the story. I was not a fan of Justin’s ex for more than one reason and there were some detail to Justin’s “secret” that I did not feel were completely believable.

Overall a great engaging read. If you love rockstar romances and a roller coaster ride to a HEA then go grab this book and enjoy.
