Saffron
Mills has lived all of her almost thirty years in Harrington, Maine—a small
town where fishing is plenty, but available men are far too few. Yet it’s not
just her dating dry spell that draws her to recent arrival Logan MacGowan.
Tall, dark, and handsome, with emerald-green eyes and an impossibly hot body,
Logan is a gorgeous enigma whose silence she takes for indifference…until one
unforgettable chance meeting, when pent-up attraction ignites into the most
intense encounter of her life.
In this quiet, quirky
town, no one knows that Logan’s alter ego is famous sculptor and tabloid
darling David Cambre. In New York, he had all the wrong kind of attention, but
in Harrington, he’s found peace, privacy…and Saffron. She’s witty, forthright,
and so much sexier and stronger than she knows. But how do you protect the love
you’ve been waiting for when your own lifestyle could be destined to rip it
apart?

~ About the Author ~
I was excited to
hear that there would be another book coming from L.A. Fiore after having loved
her previous books Beautifully Damaged and Beautifully Forgotten. Waiting
for the one was a bit different and unfortunately for me I didn't love this
book. Did I enjoy it, yes. It had it's moments for me. There
was more of a comedic feel to this novel although there were definitely some
somber moments.
I mean who wouldn't be
intrigued by the new guy in town who avoids speaking to you at all costs.
Who doesn't engage others but just watches. Who is apparently
hiding in plain sight. Logan was all of that and a bit more.
Holding up in the small fishing town to get away from the everyday chaos
of his life, Logan takes notice of Saffron, a bartender at the local tavern.
She is quiet and alone, searching for one thing that she's missing,
someone to love. Filling her time with town events and spending her time
with her close knit group of friends and Frank. The elderly man whom she
visits with and finds parental love and acceptance from.
When Logan and Saffron
get together there are sparks but they can't seem to find the right balance.
His fame seems to dictate his actions rather that his heart. His
actions did not coincide with his words at times and it made me crazy.
But then there were the tender moments where he had me melting like
butter.
Saffron made me feel for
her. She couldn't seem to catch a break. Her parents were just horrible.
No one deserves the bitterness and resentment that was thrown at her.
Her relationship with Frank made my heart ache. I knew that their
time would be limited but the depth of their connection was so deep that I knew
we would feel Frank throughout the story. She deserved so much more that
Logan was giving her but she was determined to wait him out.
Would they finally find what they both had been missing? Could their two worlds that were so far apart be meshed in to one? Grab waiting for the one and find out for yourself!
