This book is part of an interconnected series but can be read as a standalone. 

This book focuses on Mick and Sienna. A young love that was left behind 23 years ago when Mick headed to the West Coast to pursue his music career.  

Sienna was younger and he believed her future was brighter without him dragging her down. 

But you never really forget your first love and each of them never did. When a chance encounter gives them a chamce to reconnect they take it. 

They are simultaneously feeling like they are missing out on life by being consumed by their professions.  Two weeks….a break to reconnect and see if they are better together or separate. 

There were some parts of the story that were slow for me but overall I enjoyed the read.  I  liked taking the journey wirh Mick and Sienna as explored their feelings for one another.  Sienna appears a bit overwhelmed by Micks lifestyle and his ability to spoil her at times leaving her doubting a place for her in his life. 

A second chance romance that will have you pulling for these characters to find their HEA.

Review

This is the follow up to the novella Cruel Kiss which explores Gavin and Whitley years later.  You don’t need to read the novella to enjoy this story but why miss out on their streamy vacation tryst. 

I could not wait to get my hands on this book and get more of Gavin and Whitley.  

In true wingman fashion these two will do just about anything for each other.  When Gavin needs a date to a family wedding their relationship takes a wild turn and snowballs into something more. 

Fake dating someone you’ve had feelings for but keep trying to deny is definitely a recipe for disaster…..or is it? 

The chemistry between these two is off the charts and you can feel the push and pull.  But all they really need is that one push to finally realize that they want more……of each other. 

Yes this is part of of a series but each book can be read as a standalone.

This book is not for the faint of heart. Please review the trigger warnings for this book before diving in. This is dark romance at its finest. 

I went into this book blind.  Being that I haven’t read either author in a long time I was really excited to see what they had put together. 

I devoured this book.  I could not wait to get back to it when life interrupted. I needed to know what part of the roller coaster ride was coming next…..a gradually rise or a steep drop. 

Birdie was dealt a hard life.  Poverty, despair and loss.  Even with how little she had she held to the dream of something more.

Darius is entitled, rich and pretty much as arrogant as they come. Where he comes from there are rules.  Rules that cannot be broken without consequence. 

Secrets, betrayal, loss, desperation, humiliation and the beginning of feelings….real feelings.  Something that Darius may not be ready to admit until he can’t hide it anymore. 

Darius and Birdie appear to be worlds apart but appearances can be deceiving.  This story has just begun to unfold. The layers of secrets and deception being slowly peeled back to reveal what others have tried hard to hide. 

I cannot wait to see what twists and turns await us in Book 2, Cruel Boys.

Talk about a story hot enough to melt a glacier.  Liv Precott delivers a short , sweet but steamy read that will definitely keep you warm on a cold night.  The perfect read to get through in one sitting. 

Gavin and  Josie were only together for a few weeks but in that time something grew. It was nice to see that the impact Josie had on Gavin was more than temporary.  Loved the epilogues.
