There is just something about Laura Pavlov's writing that pulls you right into the story and makes you feel like you are there.

This is book two in the Magnolia Falls Series and I think I fell for River harder than Romeo and he was definitely swoon worthy.

River has had a tragic and unfortunate past that leaves this sexy lawyer very guarded and resigned to being alone.

Outside of his friend group he is not looking for a relationship.

Ruby Rose is back in town to look after her father while also trying to determine her next course of direction. Her family life complicated and draining. Not only on her bank account but her spirit.

River and Ruby have chemistry and it is combustible. I absolutely loved these two. "No catching feelings " was easy to say and much harder to do. Temporary seemed to be the perfect solution for them until it wasn't.

Would Ruby crumble the walls around River's heart and show him that there is more to life than the here and now? Could River be the King to Ruby's Queen or will insecurity keep them apart?

Grab this book! It was amazing and the supporting characters equally as enjoyable. I personally enjoy the group chats the friends share. Can't wait for more.
