I chose to listen to this book while waiting for my signed paperback to arrive.
Having only discovered Catherine Cowles within the latter part of 2023 I was excited to experience a series from her in real time.
Rhodes and Anson were perfectly narrated to deliver a truly enjoyable read/listen. Catherine's words delivered with the utmost precision to capture your attention from the start.
Rhodes and Anson both battling their past and memories that become intertwined and pushed to the forefront.
The underlying threat and suspense holding your attention leaving you wondering who can be trusted.
There was always chemistry between these two although they definitely did try to surpress it at first. Anson's need to protect coming full force where Rhodes was concerned.
I truly enjoyed watching their story unfold and in this instance I was unable to determine who the threat was. Looking to more in this series as all of the characters were enjoyable and worthy of getting to know.
