Chloe quickly turned away from us and headed across the parking lot to her car before either of us could say anything. We watched in silence as she pulled out of the parking lot and disappeared around the corner. Once she was out of sight, I turned my attention back to Drake.
“You destroyed everything!” I shouted at him.
“Fuck this. I’m going back inside. As much fun as it would be to watch you two idiots beat the shit out of each other, it’s cold out here,” Adam muttered as he turned and walked back to the bar.
Eric and Jade watched us for a second before turning and following him. I didn’t miss the pity in Jade’s eyes, but I ignored it. I didn’t want anyone to feel pity for me.
“You think I don’t know that, asshole?” Drake said as he glared at me. “I know this is my fault.”
“Then, why did you do it?” I shouted.
“Because I love her!” he shouted back, stopping me in my tracks.
Of all the responses I’d expected, that wasn’t one of them. Drake used women. He didn’t love them.
“You what?” I asked incredulously.
“I love her. I’ve tried to ignore it—believe me, I’ve tried—but I can’t. I love her, and I don’t know what the fuck to do about it.”
“You’re incapable of love, Drake. I’ve watched you screw every woman in sight for months!”
“I haven’t touched another woman since I figured out how I felt about Chloe. I wouldn’t do that to her.”

This is the 4th book in the Torn Series
but can be read as a standalone. In this
novel you get Logan’s side of things. We
get a deeper look into his pain, devastation and loss from losing his one true
love, Chloe, to Drake. But what you also
get is the new found connection with Jade and a story to fall in love with.
I must admit, I was not really a fan of Chloe and
when she ripped out Logan’s heart out and walked all over him I seriously
wanted to slap her. I get that she was
in love with Drake and he was equally in love with her but after being with
Logan for so long and considering him one of her best friends I think she could
have had a bit more understanding and compassion for Logan. She didn’t have to flaunt her happiness in
his face while he was slowly dying inside.
So, I was happy to see a change in Logan when he
started to spend time with Jade. She’s
not your typical girl but she was the girl that Logan needed and the one he
needed to be with. I liked Jades no
nonsense attitude, but when it came to Logan she softened. After harboring all of those feelings for
Logan and finally getting a chance to see what is between them, they head out
on a road trip to confront the demons of her past and reconnect with her sister.
But what they find on this road trip is so much
more. Will Logan and Jade find the happiness they both long for and deserve in
each other? Take the roller coaster ride
of emotion and find out for yourself. If
