Hearing that there is a new series from M. Leighton makes me a happy reader. I was truly looking forward to meeting Mr. Tall, Dark and Dangerous but he was soo much more!

I always enjoy the writing style of Michelle Leighton. The characters and story line are engaging and memorable. She keeps the story moving at a steady pace full of angst, suspense, underlying sexual tension. The prologue to this story had me tied up in knots and I knew going in that this would be a book I couldn't put down.

Jasper absolutely stole my heart with his life story. Guarded, calculating and determined to complete the job he is hired to do until he meets the party who hired him.... Muse.

When she loses touch with the most important person in her life, she hires Jasper to help her locate him. One condition, she gets to go on the road trip too. This goes against everything Jasper knows but for some reason he just can't say no to Muse.

As the story progresses we see Muse make a hole in the tiniest crack of Jasper's foundation and get under his skin. But under him is where he wants her to be. The chemistry between these two was definitely palpable. Hot, Hot, Hot! Loved Jasper's sexy brooding and his comments that ignited Muse almost instantly. But this is a complication that could be dangerous to both of them. Add to the fact that a few of my favorite characters from Michelle's other books make a brief appearance and I knew I was done for.
