I was truly looking forward to Sloane and Walker’s story after meeting them in Only You in the Adair Family Series.
You could tell from their interactions that there were feelings brewing there for one another, but neither Sloan or Walker were willing to press the issue.
Sloan and Walker both have their secrets. Parts of their past that keep them captive. When Sloane experiences an unsavory situation at work it seems to open the door to her past allowing it all to surge on her present.
Under Walker’s watchful eye, Sloane and Walker start to find some common ground. Spending time together has brought their feelings to the surface. Walker would do anything to protect Sloan and Callie. What starts as a temporary arrangement grows into something more.
Walker is resistant to furthering his relationship with Sloan due to his past which slowly unravels throughout the story.
The story is full of suspense, secrets, longing, forgiveness, hope, family and love. An enjoyable read from start to finish.
