~ Synopsis ~

Sometimes doing the wrong thing feels so right...I'm a player. I'm an asshole. I'm someone you should stay away from. I have demons.

I've made mistakes. And the biggest can't be taken back.

I've gone to hell and back in twenty-nine years and I'm only now coming to terms with moving forward, righting my wrongs, and making amends. Except not everyone deserves forgiveness. Sometimes the damage done is beyond repair.
Everyday is exactly the same. I focus on the pain, in the quest to feel and forget, but I remember everything. When I close my eyes the darkness encroaches and some days it feels like the things that kill me are the things that make me feel alive.

~ Excerpt ~
"I miss this.” She groaned and then ran a hand down the front of my pants and pressed against my erection. I sucked in a quick breath and clutched at her waist.

"I miss that too,” I grunted as she worked the zipper down on my pants and then palmed the searing hot flesh of my cock. "Fuck, My.” I threw an arm over my eyes and thrust my eager hips into her small palm.
"I want to get lost in you.”

"Fuck, I want that too.” I groaned again as she started to tighten her fist, push and pull, flick her thumb over the tip and back down again.
"Do you want me?” She caught my ear between her teeth.
"Always,” I whispered through clenched teeth as my other hand fisted at the mattress. I was losing it. I hadn’t gotten off since the night I'd blown in my jeans when she rode me shamelessly. And before that it'd been with Amy.

"Stop holding back.” She positioned herself over top of me and rubbed her cotton-covered pussy against my dick. A low moan escaped my throat as I twisted at the sheets. "Come on, Ridge, take me like you want to, like you’ve been begging to. Ravage me.” She leaned down and whispered in my ear, "Make it hurt.”

Ridge Wild…..that name alone screams volumes….WILD!  This is the 2nd installment in the Wild Series and you must read WILD to fully understand the story line of RIDGE.  That being said the story begins with Ridge deciding that he needs to make things right with his brother, Lane, and that means ending his “relationship” with Lane’s ex-fiancee’ Mia.

There were some times that I thought Ridge was a cold hearted bastard and other times that I actually felt bad for him.  Overcoming addiction of any kind is difficult but when you are equally addicted to a person it can be almost impossible.

Trying to rebuild his relationship with his brother Ridge resigns himself to life without Mia.  Determined to try things like a “normal” guy he settles into a routine with Amy.  Well, Amy was naïve and couldn’t take a hint.  I actually felt sorry for her for putting up with Ridge’s crap when she didn’t have to ….until she did have to.

“Stop, I growled and squeezed at the flesh of her hips.”  “I run this show.  I give you what I want to give you, you don’t take.”

While out of town, after an unplanned sex-capade with Mia, Ridge returns to his hotel room hours later to discover news that will accelerate his downward spiral of drinking and smoking sending him itching for the needle.   When he pushes too far and his actions hurt Amy, he decides that he needs to make it right before cutting her loose for good.

Now don’t get me wrong, I am not a fan of cheaters and generally steer clear of stories that involve them.  However, seeing how things worked out for Lane & Kat in WILD I was curious to know why…..What was the pull that tempted Mia to stray?  Why did Ridge not hesitate to take what was not his?

Well after reading RIDGE I may have gotten my answers.  Two pieces of a puzzle that just don’t fit anywhere else. Two tormented souls that soothe each other. Well, if you can call down and dirty, super rough sex soothing.

Mia has her own demons to deal with and although they aren’t disclosed to us until later in the story you could tell that she too was haunted.

“I don’t love you My.”  Her eyes widened in surprise.  “It’s so much more than that. I live for you. I’m shit at life without you and I think I’m finally good with that.”

Did I enjoy Mia and Ridge’s story yes, but it is a roller coaster in the dark.  You never know what you are going to get with the turn of the next page.   If you are grabbing this book looking for another Lane Wild you will be disappointed.  Lane and Ridge are like night and day and Ridge is definitely the darker of the Wild Brothers.

SLADE
 (Wild #3)
~ Synopsis ~
Behind every beautiful thing, there is some kind of pain...
Always overlooked. Always just there. That's what Dillon was to me.
Until one night.
In one night she flipped my world on its axis and there's no going back. But she has secrets, and secrets fester like an open wound. They color the past and forecast the future, but I'm determined to open her up; free her from her memories so she can live in the light and have the life she deserves.
It's just too bad that she wants nothing to do with me. But I'm nothing if not persistent and I'm not a man that gives up without a fight. I've had a taste and there's no walking away.I just have to convince her that I'm not what she fears, I'm what she wants.
Slade, like Wild and Ridge, is a standalone. Reading Wild and Ridge first will provide some back story, but is not required to read Slade.
