~Synopsis ~
How far will a good girl go for the bad boy she loves?

Laney Holt is a preacher’s daughter. A good girl. Her only goal was to get married, have babies, and live happily ever after, just like her parents. Only that didn’t happen. The two people closest to her betrayed her, and Laney’s dreams came crashing down. Now she’s left with an empty space she doesn’t know how to fill. Until she meets Jake Theopolis, a daredevil with a death wish who has heartbreaker written all over him.
Jake has no interest in thinking beyond the here and now. All he wants out of life is the next rush, the next “feel-good” thing to keep his mind off the pain of his past. His latest rush? Showing Laney there’s more to life than being a good girl—and that going bad can be so much fun. Her only concern now is how she can ever hope to satisfy the wild side of a boy like Jake. She’s looking forward to trying. And so is Jake.
If you love The Wild Ones, you'll be just as wild for M. Leighton's Bad Boys series which includes Down to You, Up to Me, and Everything for Us.

~ Review ~
Some Like it Wild…..hell yes!  OMGEEEEE this book was SUPER HOT!  I now have a new appreciation for marshmallows, waterfalls, peach wine and camping. M. Leighton does it again.  I honestly haven’t read a book from M. Leighton that didn’t have me swooning for her male lead and Jake was no different.

This is Book 2 in the Wild Ones Series and you would benefit from reading the series in order but you could probably get away with this as a standalone.

Jake and Laney met years ago at a fair but as time has passed Laney moved away for college and Jake just moved on.  Jake has a love em’ and leave em’, do what I want when I want with no regard for anyone but himself attitude and it has served him well in dealing with his past.  A well-earned bad boy reputation no doubt.

Laney is the daughter of the town preacher and her pure as the driven snow, good girl, reputation has  followed her as well.  Laney has returned to town to work on the Theopolis Estate and get some space from her love life which is in turmoil.  Jake returns to deal with his father’s estate and when their paths cross, things in the small town get interesting real fast.

“You really are a bad boy, aren’t you?
“I can be as good or as bad as you want me to be.”
“I’ve always wanted the good guys.”
“Maybe it’s time for a change.”

The chemistry is most definitely there between Laney and Jake and although there were some steamy love scenes it did not detract from the story of two people overcoming their fears and finding themselves and happiness in one another.

Now what kind of a story would it be without a little drama.  Enter Shane and Tori.  Here’s where some anger comes in.  These two had me waiting for someone to slap them….hard….repeatedly!  There were definitely some laughs and there were tears as I watched Jake and Laney discover not only who they were but what they could be together.

So if you like a bad boy/good girl story with some bumps along the way go grab your copy of Some Like It Wild and take the ride for yourself. I know I will be awaiting the next installment in the series, There’s Wild and There’s You coming June 2014.
